Marukyu JPz Hook Pellets

Only 40 shops in the UK will be getting this new revolutionary bait this month and i'm one of the lucky ones.
They will be in stock this week so if you want that edge over your mates or for your next match you know where to come

Marukyu JPz Hook Pellets

Marukyu hit the UK market with a storm when they launched their range of scientifically designed baits, and anglers are always looking for that next edge, and it looks as if Marukyu are about to do the same all over again with their new JPz hook pellets.

After 19 years of researching different baits, a team of scientists employed by Marukyu have finalised what they describe to be "a truely massive innovation in fishing bait technology". The idea started as a vision by the highly skilled team of Marukyu technologists. Once they reached satisfaction with the science behind the bait, further painstaking research and development with local Marukyu Pro Staff was conducted to ensure that JPz pellets were perfect in real fishing situations.

The exact science behind the baits is a closely guarded secret at Marukyu, but in simple terms, JPz have been formulated to ensure that the proteins and amino acids within the bait work together to attract fish, stimulate feeding and have the fish returning back for more. The sophisticated recipe of the bait is designed to release key feeding triggers into the water. In part, this process relies on polysaccharide science, but Marukyu are keeping the exact bait recipe top secret. As with all baits from Marukyu, JPz are made from top quality food sources that are free from manufactured chemicals and other ingredients that could potentially cause harm to the fish or the aquatic environment. To ensure that JPz are produced to the highest level of consistancy, Marukyu have developed unique machinery to to so.

You are probably thinking "what are the JPz all about then as they sound just like any other pellet?", and I thought the same until I actually had them in my hands. The JPz have the below innovative features;

•A 'pellet' that looks and feels like jelly but with totally different characteristics.
•No grain means JPz will not split when hooked.
•Can be hair rigged, side hooked or banded.
•Soft texture does not impede the hook, yet the pellet is durable enough to stay on the hair/hook during the hardest casts or missed bites.
•Controlled attractant release
•Multi-ingredient formulation means that each JPz is exactly the same
•Developed to be equally effective in both cold or warm water.
•JPz can be trimmed to size without affecting their performance
Marukyu have decided to initially release the JPz in one size and flavour, but as they can be cut down to size, simply snipping a pellet in half with a pair of scissors gives two smaller alternative hookbaits with no wastage. The initial JPz are 6mm in diameter and contain a naturally salty formulation called Ebi which is composed from multiple ingredients in cluding huge numbers of minute marine crustaceans that have been found to be extremely attractive to freshwater fish. The Ebi JPz are packaged in 50g resealable pots to ensure that the hookbaits can be used economically, retain long term effectiveness and also guarantee freshness. Marukyu are formulating other flavours in the JPz range and UKMA will be taking a good look at them once they are released.

Marukyu Product Development Director, Roy Marlow has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the JPz; "I have been involved for most of my life in fishing bait development, but this product really is sensational. Time and time again, JPz have produced fish when every other bait has failed. If there ever was a banker bait. this is it. And what's more, it's so easy to use, requires no preperation and is truely versatile"

The JPz pellets are not cheap but they are unique and a 50g tub will last most anglers a very long time. Priced at £5.99 there is a lot of hookbaits in the jar and because of the resiliance and durability, the angler will find that they are more economical as every JPz pellet is identical so there is no wastage in baits that have been over or under prepared.
